After months of waiting, putting up with international football and then
being only partly sated by the false security of preseason and transfer
rumours, the big moment is finally here: It's the opening day of the
2013-14 Premier League season.
A total of 20 teams, tonnes of optimism and 190 matches stand before us,
and we kick off the whole lot from Anfield, where Liverpool will host
